OAALJ Board Meeting Minutes

 August 24, 2005

Thai Village, Wilsonville OR

In attendance: Greg Naugle, David Marcus, Steve Rissberger, Steve Demarest, Larry Smith Alison Webster and Jon Micheletti.

Treasurer's Report:  Steve reported that the association's ATM/debit card should be arriving within 5 to 10 days. 

Prior Meeting Minutes:  The minutes from the June 21, 2005 Board meeting were unanimously approved.

New Board Member:  Jon Micheletti was nominated to fill a vacant Board position.  The vote to elect Jon to the Board was unanimous.

OAALJ Website:  The web host charges $9.99 per month to host the cite.  In June, there were 1987 visits, and in July 1928 visits to the site.

Newsletter:  Andrea is still awaiting submissions for the next newsletter.  It should go out in October, with an announcement for the Annual Meeting.  It should also include a summary of the ALJ Career Satisfaction Survey results and an update on the ALJ Classification Study Project Team.   Greg agreed to draft the survey summary along with his President's Message.  Steve and Larry agreed to provide the Project Team update.  The newsletter will also feature a profile on David.   

Membership:  To date, there are 24 paid members, and pending applications from several others. 

Other Matters:  The NAALJ National Conference is set for October 29 to November 2, 2005.
