OAALJ BOARD MEETING MINUTES
March 6, 2002

Present: Steve Rissberger, Monica Smith, Cathy Coburn, David Marcus, Bruce Black, Maurice (Skip) Russell, and Dee Anna Hassanpour

The treasurer reported

$2,504.55 in savings

$7,947.23 in CD

$152.28 in checking for a grand total

of $10,604.46

Cost of Annual Meeting discussed.

January 30, 2002 minutes were approved.

Bruce acknowledged that the group had started work on decisional independence for ALJ’s but could not give any details at this time

The NAALJ wants email addresses of our members. We split up list to get that information back to Dee Anna. Board members also divided up the list of potential members to call in our recruitment drive.

Discussion of next newsletter. Decided to issue in early April to capture CLE results and committee on quality review recommendations. Copy deadline to Bruce established for April 1, 2002. Bruce will publish within seven days after 4-1-02.

David discussed progress of conference. It will take place on a Saturday at Willamette Law School. Washington ALJ’s said no to joint conference in part due to location we chose. Skip suggested having part of conference address private attorney’s expanding client base by doing more administrative law cases. Discussion ensued of other potential topics.

Monica reported sending all email addresses she collected to Dee Anna. Dee Anna is still waiting to hear back from other members.
