On April 12, 2003, the OAALJ lost one of its most dedicated members.
Bruce Black served the State of Oregon as an Administrative Law Judge
for more than 25 years before his untimely death. Bruce was a founding
member of the OAALJ in 1977 and was serving on the OAALJ board at the
time of his sudden passing. He made significant contributions to the
development of OAALJ throughout his career. A past president and vice
president of OAALJ, Bruce died suddenly while jogging. We will miss his
dedication, professionalism, and good humor.
